Principal & advisory team
RWM M&A Advisors is built around firsthand experience buying, integrating, growing, and advising accounting firms. We bring practical operator judgment to one of the most important financial and emotional decisions a firm owner will ever make.
A division of RWM & Company
RWM M&A Advisors operates as a focused division of RWM & Company. The division exists to serve accounting firm owners considering a sale, merger, acquisition, succession plan, or platform partnership, while drawing from RWM’s practical experience building, buying, integrating, and growing accounting firms.
Principal
President of RWM & Company and Principal of RWM M&A Advisors
Rob Morris grew up around the accounting profession. His father founded the firm in 1981, and Rob officially joined while still in college in 1996. What started as a family business became a lifelong calling around helping business owners, families, and individuals navigate financial decisions with clarity and confidence.
Rob later purchased the family practice from his father and grew RWM & Company more than tenfold into a much larger, multi-office accounting and advisory platform that continues to grow today.
That growth has come through a combination of client service, acquisitions, firm integrations, operational improvement, advisory expansion, team development, and a commitment to protecting the people and relationships that make accounting firms valuable.
Rob has not simply studied accounting firm M&A. He has lived it. He understands the pressure of a purchase, the responsibility of taking care of staff, the importance of client retention, and the hard work that begins after a deal closes.
The perspective we bring
Many owners are not just selling revenue. They are making a decision about their life's work, their employees, their clients, their family, and their legacy.
Rob's own story informs the work. RWM & Company is a multi-generational firm rooted in relationships, service, and trust. Carrying forward what his father built is not something he takes lightly, and that same respect is brought to every seller, buyer, and merger conversation.
RWM has completed and supported multiple accounting firm transactions and has helped shepherd other firm owners through decisions involving growth, succession, transition, platform options, and integration. That experience helps us ask better questions, anticipate the real pressure points, and protect what matters after closing.

Why it matters
The best transaction is not always the highest headline price. The best transaction is the one that protects clients, gives employees a healthy future, preserves culture where appropriate, treats the seller fairly, and gives the buyer a real chance to succeed.
What happens to the team?
How will clients experience the transition?
Does the buyer have capacity to integrate?
Is the deal structure fair?
Will the legacy survive the transition?
